Pubnet integrates seamlessly with a retailer's POS system and also offers web-based ordering solutions for those without POS capabilities. Publishers and all vendors can set up to receive orders via a Pubnet electronic mailbox, and there is a web-based forms interface, Pubnet Order Wizard (POW), available for small vendors without in-house EDI capabilities. Additionally, the service provides a robust order visibility and management toolset for both vendors and retailers, named DCTS, to allow users a total 360 view of their electronic orders.

What is the cost?

For Retailers - Pubnet is free to retailers to use. There is a one time set-up fee of $75 for retailers joining the Pubnet service.

For Publishers, Wholesalers, Distributors and Merchandise Vendors - There is a one time joining fee of $750. Additionally, publishers will be charged on a monthly basis as follows:

     • $0.60 per interchange and $0.12 per KC (1 KC is the minimum charge)
     • $50 per mailbox on the system

Interconnects - $25 per interconnect per month

How can I transition or join?

In order to successfully transition or join ECPA Pubnet, an receive uninterrupted service to top Christian product retailers and vendors previously found on X*net who have now transitioned to ECPA Pubnet, you will need to update your EDI system to reflect certain necessary changes. This transition is at no-charge to you and the following steps guide you through the transition process...

1) Contact Pubnet Technical Support by calling 1-800-PUBNET-1 or emailing info@pubnet.org to begin the process and receive a transition or join survey.

2) Complete and return the survey

3) Receive receipt confirmation of the survey by Technical Support and work to develop a transition timeline

4) Review, complete, sign and return a Pubnet ECPA agreement

Will the transition to Pubnet affect my electronic ordering?

Pubnet and ECPA will work closely with you to achieve a smooth a seamless transition during the next few months from Xnet to Pubnet. During the transition period you should not experience any changes to your electronic ordering system. If you experience any problems that you feel are directly attributed to the transition, contact Technical Support for assistance by emailing support@pubnet.org or calling 1-800-PUBNET-1 (1-800-782-6381); Monday – Friday 9 AM - 8 PM EST.
